ABOUT

What is Veritas Youth

Founded by a Harvard doctorate, Veritas Youth is dedicated to providing high school students with genuine research experiences. We firmly believe that high schoolers are capable of changing the world by engaging in cutting-edge research.  

 

Our program assigns students to immersive research projects led by scholars from top universities for an entire year. Participants will develop a solid research foundation, including skills in literature review, academic writing, and peer review.  

 

The high school graduates who were in the research and mentoring program for two to four years have published research outcomes in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and are high-performing students in prestigious universities.

Application

We are aiming for 9-12th grade students, with a priority for 9th and 10th graders, expecting participation for 2-3 years.

Enrollment &
Orientation

We will notify you about your application outcomes in the competitive program. We will commence a series of orientation events, including Research 101 training, at the beginning of the program.

Year-long Research

Our one-year program begins in the summer to kickstart the research process. Professors will assign students to their ongoing research projects, allowing them to shadow and receive work assignments throughout the year. The time commitment is 5 hours per week during the school year and 15 hours per week in the summer.

Deliverables and More

Deliverables include oral presentations, conference posters, scientific papers, or public tools, etc.

  • Can I start at any time of the year?
    Currently, our program runs on a school year schedule, with everyone starting in the summer or winter. We will keep you posted if more projects become available in the future.
  • How much time do I needed each week?
    Based on different professors schedules may varies, but usually: 5 hours/week during school year: - 1 hour mentor student meeting - 1 hour learning - 1 hour peer meeting/co-working - 2 hours independent work 15 hours/ week during summer: - 3 hour mentor student meeting - 3 hour learning - 3 hour peer meeting/co-working - 6 hours independent work
  • Do I need to pay for this?
    No. You don't need to pay for this program. This program is run by a501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization called East West Alliance For Education And Health. Welcome to help our program by donation.
